Lace Wig Adhesives, Tapes & Supplies

There are many different kinds of bonding tapes and glues on the market that are made especially for the use with lace wigs & other hair extensions. The adhesive that is best for you will depend on your personal preference, lifestyle and your body's chemistry (people have different results using the same products as people vary, for example, with respect to whether they have oily or sensitive skin). Adhesive used for adhering hairpieces, and other light weight attachments and prostheses to the skin with a typical holding time from several days to over 30-days. Please keep in mind that hold times will vary depending on application method used, skin-type, and environmental conditions.

Adhesives

Invisi-Bond Adhesive

Invisi-Bond provides a long-term hold, comfortably and safely. Invisi-Bond" is waterproof (once dry), latex-free, virtually odorless, shine-free and very aggressive. It is the perfect skin-safe liquid adhesive for adhering attachments to the skin. It will provide a long-lasting hold and remain completely flexible. Apply by brush. (hold varies from person to person)

For extended wear, apply Invisi-Bond to both the skin and the attachment. Let the Invisi-Bond dry to a clear, matte finish. Press the attachment firmly into place over the Invisi-Bond that has already been brushed onto the skin.

For daily wear, apply Invisi-Bond to either the skin or the attachment, (e.g. hairpiece base). Allow Invisi-Bond to dry completely at which time it will be clear with a slight matte finish. Press the attachment into place with even, but firm pressure.

Latex free and provides a long-lasting 4 - 6 week bonding periods, skin-safe bonding (hold time varies from person to person)

Secure Silicone

Secure Silicone Soft Bond Adhesive

Extended wear 2-4 week hold. A clear, silicon bonding adhesive with a convenient brush-cap application. We recommend our skin protector to be used in conjunction with this product, for and even better and long lasting hold.

Endura-Bond

Endura-Bond (EB) is specially formulated to be skin-safe and is one of our strongest glues. It is considered a "hard bond"- allowing for extended wear and it is also water resistant. Unlike other adhesives, which may break down when exposed to moisture, Endura-Bond cures when exposed to sweat, water and humidity. Beginners should take caution, as the hold is so strong- this is not the glue to accommodate for multiple mistakes. All users should USE SPARINGLY! Only use a very thin bead around the perimeter of your lace wig. We recommend applying with a point as thin as a toothpick rather than using the bottle's applicator. Because EB dries very hard, it can be difficult to remove from fragile lace caps. We hear very little to no complaint that EB does not "work". If there is a problem, it is usually attributed to the glue being too strong for the client (e.g., clients who like to remove their units more often) or that it is more difficult to clean off lace bases.

During the summer months, Endura-Bond should be kept in freezer to prolong shelf life (it will not freeze solid). Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before use and place back into freezer after use.

Ultra Hold

This adhesive can easily provide up to 4 weeks of super-strengh attachment. Ultra Hold isn't only the name, BUT also a great description of what you'll get! Soft bond Acrylic adhesive that provides up to 4 week hold (varies from person to person). Optically clear, non-yellowing formula of which is very popular in the medical industry.

For use with the following: Full Lace Wig, Lace Frontals, Front Lace Wig, Toupee, Hair Systems, Hair replacement units, Virtual Hairline System, Invisible Hairline System, ItsAllBeauty, Glamour Lace etc.

Will not harm wig caps made with Swiss Lace nor French Lace.

Directions: Since the fluid is thicker than most, we highly recommend using only a single, thin layer. Let dry for about 20 minutes before adhering system.

Safe Grip

Safe Grip is a water based Copolymer Adhesive that can maintain a 2-4 week hold. Safe Grip dries clear and helps to control odor and bacteria

SensiBond Hardbond Adhesive

For semi-permanent bonding of hair replacement systems. Ideal for active lifestyles. Holds for 4-6 weeks, dries hard. Bonds in seconds.

Top Priority Hardbond

Permanent bonding adhesive used for hair replacement systems. Best results when used with Walker P.A.T tape. Provides a holding time for up to 6 weeks, dries hard and bonds in seconds.

Walker Mity-Tite

For use with both lace and polyurethane hair systems. Ideal for daily or short-term extended wear, could get up to 2 weeks strong bond. This product comes in a medium sized glass bottle with a brush-on applicator attached to the cap for easier use

Liqui Tape

A silicon-based, freon-free, medical-grade adhesive that provides a 2 to 10 day hold. It is applied directly on the skin for use on full or front lace systems. Can be applied directly to the scalp for partial, perimeter, or full head bonding. It remains flexible with excellent holding power to skin and all hair systems. Product is easy to clean-up using any hair and skin solvent. Can also be used with hairpiece tape for easier clean-up. Wait for adhesive to become tacky before placing unit on your head.

Extended Wear Bonding Adhesive. Get the convenience of a tape with the long-lasting hold of a permanent bonding glue! Special processing allows air to pass through to the skin which is better for the skin and extends hold times. Most individuals report hold times of 30-40 days, regardless of activity level.

This adhesive is formulated to provide a long-term (30-day) hold and will not ooze or get gooey when exposed to heat or moist conditions. Swim, work-out or work with confidence. Special processing makes it possible for more air to reach the skin which allows for longer attachment time.

Guaranteed to work on any hairpiece base, including lace.

Easy to apply, wash skin with soap and water, dry completely. Peel off the top scored (white) liner, press into place on the hairpiece, then remove the lower extended liner (blue) and apply to the skin with even, but firm pressure.

This adhesive strip easily removes with rubbing alcohol and our PURE Adhesive Remover.

Use our mini-strips to adhere around the border of the hair unit or wig.

These adhesive contours are 3/4" long from top to bottom and 1.5" wide from side to side. Use these to bond a hairpiece perimeter for a long, comfortable hold. 36 pieces per packet. Most people get a minimum 30-Day hold!

Unique aerated design allows "vent-Thru" technology which extends adhesive life and allows skin to breathe. Guaranteed to work on any hair unit base - even delicate lacefront.

Easy to use: Simply wash skin with soap and water, dry completely. Peel off the split (white) liner, press into place on the hair unit, then remove the extended liner (blue) and apply to the skin with firm, but even pressure.

This adhesive strip easily removes with rubbing alcohol or our PURE Adhesive Remover.

SUPERTAPE Rolls

Extended Wear Bonding Adhesive.

Secure any lightweight attachment or appliance for an average 30-40 day continuous hold. Excellent bond to and base material.

Wear Tip: If SUPERTAPE "shines" through your attachment once applied, simply press down any shiny sections with the pad of your finger--this will give SUPERTAPE a muted/matte finish. Make-up powder can also be used to dull any shine.

Thin-Stick Contours (1CM x 3")

Great for creating a more natural looking appearance. The Thin-Sticks are particularly handy to us in the front just under the natural hairline. Because it is thin, the lace attachment does not need to be placed so far down on the forehead.

SUPERTAPE Contours

SPECIAL NOTE: Place printed side to base for a no-shine appearance. Please be sure to chose your contour type! Get our 30-40 day bonding adhesive in a variety of contours. Use our contours for fashion, lifting hems, ostomy bag attachment, hairpiece attachment.

Red-e Adhesive Tape Rolls

This is a popular tape and is used mainly for daily wear. It is also used as a base liner for bonding with liquid adhesive - used in the first phase of the bonding process it is followed by bonding glue. It can also be used with other tapes for a higher tack for semi extended wear. Gentle on the skin, but effective! Use of Red-e Tape should not irritate the skin. Tested safe for dermal application, Red-e Tape should provide a 6-8 day wear during the cooler months of the year.

3M 1522 Adhesive Tape Rolls

Gentle on the skin, yet effective, 3M 1522 should provide a 3-5 day hold under normal conditions of wear. Converted in our ultra-clean environment and sealed to prevent contamination, these rolls are attractively packaged and conveniently sized for the person who leads an active "on-the-go" life.

Skin Shield

Skin Shield is easy to use; clean skin with soap and water, dry skin completely. Simply dab Skin Shield generously over the area of the skin where attachment is required. Skin Shield dries clear. Allow Skin Shield to dry completely. The skin is now prepared to receive adhesive.

Scalp Protector

Scalp Protector

Improves adhesion for: hot & humid weather, oily skin, sports, swimming. Prevents irritation from tape & adhesives.

Clean skin where tape is to be applied with rubbing alcohol. Apply SCALP PROTECTOR and let dry until it is NOT tacky to touch. Do not apply to severely irritated skin. This product is not meant to replace tape or liquid adhesive.

PURE Adhesive Remover

Our PURE Adhesive Remover is a must try! Gentle, but effective, it removes unwanted adhesive build-up without damaging fragile hair piece materials or skin. "Easy-pour" flip top allows precise pouring controls. PURE has a light must aroma that is pleasing and light.

PURE Citru-spice Adhesive Remover

Natural Citrus Power! Easy to use and gentle on fragile materials, mist PURE Citru-spice onto the heaviest adhesive residue build-up and wipe clean. Use PURE Citru-spice to remove Invisi-Bond. Infused with the power of natural citrus orange oil, PURE Citru-spice leaves a fresh, pleasant orange aroma.

Endura-Bond Remover

Our Hard Bond Remover will remove our Endura-Bond as well as any other permanent attachment adhesives. To use: lightly swab Endura-Bond Remover over adhesive to loosen bond, gently remove attachment from the skin. Finish removing any residual adhesive from the attachment. After use, wash hands and skin thoroughly with soap and water.

A fast-acting citrus-based cleaner for scalp and all hair systems! C-22 remover works faster and more effectively. Gentle on skin and rinses off with soap and water.

Rapid Release

Walker Rapid Release is an extremely fast acting adhesive remover. Walker claims it's the fastest adhesive remover out there. Our in-house techs agree and do not recommend letting it soak overnight. If you like to soak your hairpiece they recommend no more than 2 hours, especially if you use a skin or poly base.

The downside of this remover is that there have been reports of it irritating skin so it should not be used on your scalp. However, if you need to remove the adhesive from the base of your hairpiece when you clean, maintain or before you reapply new adhesive, then you should consider using Rapid Release.

Rapid Release is a citrus-based remover which gives it a pleasant scent and it rinses out easily with soap and water.

"Knot My Problem" Knot Sealer

"Knot My Problem" Knot Sealer
"Knot My Problem" knot sealer! Safe and water-based, (NO SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS!) applied by a mist-sprayer. (4 oz. container) Directions: Invert lace base to expose knots. Shake sealer contents well, hold bottle upright and aim at lace-base. Spritz on Knot Sealer using mist pump being careful not to allow excess sealer to penetrate into hair. Blow dry. Repeat as needed. (TWO COATS RECOMMENDED) Creates a long-lasting invisible seal that is permanently flexible! (Can be removed using PURETM or PURE Citru-spiceTM)
